Aw, introductions kind of almost suck really bad, but yeah. Whatever. I'm the only non-Canadian in Avril Lavigne's band.
I'm Evan David Taubenfeld. I was born on June 27th, 1983. Really, I was a cute baby. You should've seen me. ;-[ But that isn't the point, really. I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. That's not in Canada so don't ask. I make fun of Avril when she says aboot, and eh because she does it a lot. I'm the blonde one if you don't know who I am. I'm the one everyone used to think she was dating until she hugged Jesse on the beach.
Before I was in Avril's band I was in the Suburbanites in seventh grade; I played the drums which my parents bought me when I was four years old. Then I decided to found my own band called Spinfire with my friend Matt Halpern in 10th grade. Sadly the band broke up, but I was lead vocals and guitar. It was fun, we had a CD and everything. Wow. Amazing, eh? HAHA. Sorry, I had to. :[ That was great, was it not? ;-* 'Sup, Av? Anyway. Before going to Berklee Collage of Music in Boston, I had gone to another school, but within a week I was chosen to be with Avril.
I have been sending my stuff into Arista records for a while now and Josh Sarubin recommended me for Avril's band for her to tour with. At first I was a bit sceptical, but I listened to it, had a few days to learn it and my mom Ami packed me up and I went out to meet her and the rest of the crew. Wow, and here I am today still with Avril working on her second album and I did my first show with my new band Ditch Ruxton on August 7th. It went better than planned and it felt amazing to be up there with Matt again. I don't exactly know where I stand with Avril and the band, but I wouldn't abandon her on her second album. I'll be there.
Now here's the "Avril and I are bestfriends" paragraph everyone has been waiting for. Yes, Avril and I are bestfriends. We stay in hotel rooms together, write songs together, hold hands, and she even feeds me. ( She is really good to me. ;-[ Like whoa. ) I can tell her almost anything and I know she'll be there for me, and the same with her. She can come to me for anything and I'll be here through the good and the bad. We have great chemistry on and off stage. Well, now that I seem like a big sap I will go so I can pretend to be manly again. :/
